Oklahoma and Mary Fallin’s Folly

i’m sorry i didn’t update for the last two meetups!! i’ll be more diligent going forward. however, this just landed in our laps.

Attention Oklahoma Vapers!!!!

Governor Mary Fallin has signed an executive order banning eCigarette use on all state owned property. This is an abuse of power that needs to be met with outrage not just from vapers but also from citizens of Oklahoma who should be asking hard questions about how egis take priority over every other issue currently effecting the state’s populace. News agencies need to also be taken to task for merely repeating her press release and not asking “why?”. At the end of said press release is an entire promotion for standard NRT and a service funded by the Oklahoma TSET (Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust) who have an Annula $38 million budget which is used to bribe and lobby state and county officials into doing their bidding in order to qualify for hand out from this slush fund.

What can be done? Objection to not just the ban but the abuse of power by citizens of Oklahoma is of top priority along with calls for press to investigate to get a ground swell of opposition to the Governor’s actions needs to happen. A watchful eye on the TSET and the Governor’s office to see if this action sees the state qualify for a large hand out from their fund is necessary too as this provides obvious motive for the action taken. The same actions that were needed to draw attention to this before the order was signed are needed in the aftermath as well in order to win over public opinion not to ecigs specifically but to the abuse of power.
